In the Winter and Spring I enjoy gathering vines and branches for weaving.  I make nests, nested objects and baskets of a sort.  Our family is on a mission to control and remove the invasive plants on the farm--himilayan blackberry, english ivy, etc.  We are also working to encourage growth of native plant species at the same time--trailing vine blackerry, native willow, dogwoods, etc.  Not only is it a great pleasure to gather these materials, but it's also fun and therapeutic to assemble them.
